Brouillette Sweeps Throws Events at UNI

Brouillette tossed an indoor career-best 58-06 3/4 for the win in the men's weight throw, defeating the meet's runner up by over three feet. The
Continuing her strong rookie campaign, Tiffanie Synacek jumped 5-08 for her second victory in the event this indoor season. Saturday's effort marks her career-best leap. In her first meet as a Cyclones, Synacek jumped 5-06 in a first-place performance at the Holiday Preview.
Sophomore Michael Alexander competed in the 800-meter run on Saturday. Alexander led the pack from 500-meters to 750-meters of the race and paced himself to a runner-up finish, with a time of 1:56.30. On the women's side, junior Amy Waggoner tallied another second-place finish for ISU with a throw of 45-09.00 in the shot put.
