Senior Stefan Tauber and junior Zac Brouillette highlighted the second day of the adidas Classic in Lincoln, Neb. with career-best efforts in their respective events.
In the long jump, Tauber's monster leap of 22-10 earned him eighth-place in a field loaded with the region's top competitors. The Leipzig, Germany native crushed his former best by nearly six inches.
Teammate Zac Brouillette, recorded his second career-best mark in as many days at the Classic, earning eighth-place in the shot put with a toss of 54-10 3/4. Brouillette has taken full advantage of his 2008 campaign, finishing top 10 in every meet thus far. The Sioux City native hopes to continue that streak into the Big 12 Championships.
In their final meet before conference championships, the Cyclones will host to the ISU Classic on Feb. 15-16, inside the Lied Recreational Center. Many of the nation's best athletes will be in attendance for the two day meet.
