KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Iowa State tennis team's fall season will come to a close this weekend as the team journeys to Kalamazoo for the fourth and final tournament of 2010. A month removed since their last tournament at the Air Force Invitational, the Cyclones are hoping to see improvement across the board at the Western Michigan University Super Challenge, held at the West Hills Athletic Club Nov. 5-7.
Iowa State student-athletes have seen many opponents from different schools this season, and ISU coaches are hoping that this weekend's play will solidify what's to come in the spring.
“There are still things to work on,” Head Coach Armando Espinosa stated. “I'm hoping we can finalize who is going to be playing with who, and hopefully after this weekend we'll have a better idea of how we're going to do that.”
The tournament format will feature Iowa State facing off against different schools in singles and doubles action. The Cyclones open play Friday with doubles matches against Indiana.
