Cyclones Earn 27 Personal Bests on Weekend

Sun Angel Track Classic Results Jim Duncan Invitational Results

TEMPE, Ariz. – Iowa State's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Sun Angel Classic Saturday, departing the meet with 27 personal bests.

The ISU men's 4x100-meter relay team's performance highlighted the competition, finishing second with a time of 40.47. The quartet placed second to Syracuse, which had a winning time of 40.43.

In women's competition, Cyclone senior Lashawn Wright finished third in the 100-meter dash (11.81) and fifth in the 200-meter dash (24.03). Senior Jenna Caffrey also placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 13.89. Sophomore Kianna Elahi was able to secure sixth place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.14.

At day two of the Jim Duncan Invitational in Des Moines, senior Dan Fagden highlighted performances for the Cyclone men. Fagden finished first in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:53.02. Junior Myranda Casterline earned third place in the 100-meter hurdles for the ISU women, finishing with a time of 14.32. The mark is also a new personal best for Casterline.

The Iowa State track and field team will travel to Walnut, Calif., next weekend for the Mount Sac Relays. Results will be posted on cyclones.com.
