Cyclones Prepare to Host Bill Bergan Invitational

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State will play host to the Bill Bergan Multi Events Thursday and Friday, along with the Bill Bergan Track and Field Invitational Saturday at the Lied Recreation Center. The Bill Bergan Multi Events will begin Thursday at 1 p.m. with the men's heptathlon. The Bill Bergan Invitational begins Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the men's weight throw.
"This last weekend we did a good job of getting out and being very competitive in all of the events in which we competed," head coach Corey Ihmels said. "This week gives us another chance. The great thing about the Bill Bergan is that it's a scored event were we are scratching and fighting for points and trying to beat the other competitors. It should be a good environment for us to see where we are at and to keep making progress."
Teams competing this weekend include: Missouri, South Dakota, South Dakota State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Marquette, Minnesota (men only) and SMU (women only).
Results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of each day's events.
