Cyclones In Second Place After Two Rounds At Lady Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - The Iowa State women's golf team remains in second place after two rounds at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The Cyclones fired a 293 this afternoon for a two-round 593 tally. Iowa State is nine shots behind Alabama (584), the nation's No. 1-ranked team according to Golfstat. The strong field features five teams ranked in the top-20. Iowa State is ranked 26th by Golfweek and 29th by Golfstat.
Freshman Sasikarn On-Iam leads the Cyclones after two rounds, sitting in fifth place at 145 (72-73). Senior Victoria Stefansen moved into the top-10 (T9th- 148) after shooting a 69, her career low as a Cyclone. Punpaka Phuntumabamrung and Kristin Paulson are tied for 23th place with a total of 152.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes.
