Elahi Named Third-Team Academic All-American

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State junior Kianna Elahi was one of 15 student-athletes to earn third-team Academic All-America honors, CoSIDA announced Thursday. This is the first time Elahi has earned the honor.
Elahi, a native of Omaha, Neb., was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team earlier this year. She has also earned Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2010 and 2011.
The 2010 Big 12 400-meter hurdles champion, Elahi is a chemical engineering major with a biology minor and boasts a 3.72 grade point average.
