Cyclone Wrestling Club Kick-Off Banquet Date Set

AMES, Iowa - The Cyclone Wrestling Club will help mark the start of the 2012-2013 Iowa State Wrestling season with its seventh annual kick-off dinner. The dinner will take place Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Gateway Hotel in Ames.

The event will begin with a reception and autograph session at 6:30 p.m., followed by a performance by a local band and dinner at 7:15 p.m. The coach's program will follow at approximately 8 p.m. Iowa State head coach Kevin Jackson will speak as well as other special guests including Iowa State wrestlers and Cyclone Wrestling Club Olympic hopefuls. The evening's events will also include a silent and live auction highlighted with Iowa State memorabilia and other must-have items.

This event is open to the general public and all wrestling fans. Tickets are $30 per person if purchased prior to Oct. 20. Tables may also be purchased for $300. Those fans that purchase tables will have either a member of the Iowa State coaching staff or an Iowa State wrestler at their table. After Oct. 20, the price of tickets increases to $35 per person and tables to $350 per table. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

The Cyclone Wrestling Club is a nonprofit organization with the mission of furthering Iowa State wrestling. It provides financial assistance and fan support to the Iowa State wrestling program in its pursuit of wrestling excellence. The club also provides financial assistance to former Cyclone wrestlers training for international competition and the 2016 Olympic Games.
