Iowa State Receives No. 3 Seed For NWCA Duals

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State wrestling team has received the No. 3
seed for the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals Midwest Regional taking
place Sunday in Hilton Coliseum. Iowa received the No. 1 seed, Oregon
State the No. 2 seed, Virginia Tech No. 4, Northern Iowa No. 5 and
Wisconsin No. 6.
The first round will begin at 11 a.m. with Iowa State vs. Wisconsin on Mat 1 and Northern Iowa vs.
Virginia Tech on Mat 2. Both Iowa
and Oregon State will have first-round byes. The winner of Northern
Iowa/Virginia Tech will face Iowa in the second round beginning at 1
p.m. Oregon State will square off against the winner of Iowa
State/Wisconsin in round two. The final round will begin at 3 p.m. with the
championship bout and extra match between the losing first-round teams.
Tickets are available for a general admission adult price of $25 with a
$15 price for youth high school age and under. Fans can order tickets
online at cyclones.com, in person at the athletics ticket office and by
phone at (515) 294-1816. Doors open to the general public at 10 a.m.
