Cyclones Return to Arizona for Jim Click Multi-Event Shootout

AMES, Iowa – The multi-event specialists will be the only competitors for the Iowa State track and field team this weekend as the select group heads to the Jim Click Multi-Event Shootout in Tucson, Ariz. The two-day event will begin on Thursday with the first five events of the decathlon and the first four events of the heptathlon.
The decathlon is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. CDT start time on Thursday beginning with the 100-meter dash. Other day one events will include the long jump, shot put, high jump and 400-meter dash. Friday, decathlon events are scheduled to resume at noon CDT with the 110-meter hurdles followed by the discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500-meter run.
The first event of the heptathlon (100-meter hurdles) is scheduled for a 2 p.m. CDT start time on Thursday. The high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash will round out the first day of events. Friday, the heptathlon is scheduled to resume at 1 p.m. CDT beginning with the long jump. The heptathlon competition will conclude with the javelin and 800-meter run.
