WALNUT, Calif. – The Iowa State track and field team finished the second day of competition at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday, while doubling up with competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Day two of the Mt. SAC Relays had highlights across all event groups as the Cyclones recorded five top-10 finishes.
Senior
Ian Warner started off the day on a strong note for the Cyclones recording a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter dash in a time of 10.40. He followed up his performance in the 100-meter dash with a 10th-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 21.11.

Akeem Holmes highlighted the field events for Iowa State, recording a mark of 50-03.25 in the triple jump.
Highlighting events for the Cyclone women was newcomer
Ejiro Okoro in the 800-meter run. Okoro ran a personal-best time of 2:04.72 to finish fourth in an extremely talented field of middle-distance runners.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team recorded the fifth top-10 finish of the day for the Cyclones, finishing seventh in a talented field of relay teams with a time of 3:43.71 to just beat out Washington's relay team who finished at 3:43.76.
The Mt. SAC Relays continue Saturday with events for Iowa State beginning at 3 p.m. CDT and the Invitational section of the women's shot put. The Cyclones will also compete in the Beach Invitational, with events beginning there at 11:15 a.m. CDT (men's high jump). Live results are available for the Mt. SAC Relays and Flotrack will be providing a live stream of the meet from 1-11 p.m. CDT. Results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of the meets.
