Relay Team Propels Cyclones on Final Day at Mt. SAC

WALNUT, Calif. – The Iowa State track and field team concluded competition at the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday inside Hilmer Lodge Stadium with an impressive performance by the women's 4x400-meter relay team.
The team of Krista Shoeman, Ese Okoro, Ejiro Okoro and Kianna Elahi continued their streak of posting impressive times in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking a 3:39.58 in the Invitational section of the event at Mt. SAC.
The relay came after Elahi posted an eighth-place finish (57.64) in the Invitational section of the 400-meter hurdles earlier in the evening while Ese Okoro finished fifth in the Olympic Development section of the 400-hurdles.
The Cyclones will compete next weekend at the annual Drake Relays in Des Moines.
