TUCSON, Ariz.- After a weekend off, the Iowa State Tennis team is back at it this weekend at the Wildcat Invitational Friday through Sunday.
Three Cyclones will return to action after bringing home runner-up titles from the UNI Invitational two weeks ago. Freshman Lydia Green and juniors Meghan Cassens and Caroline Andersen are all looking to continue their successful runs this weekend. Freshman Talisa Merchiers joins the trio in Tucson.
The team is looking forward to improving their doubles play this weekend in the desert, after almost two weeks of practice under their belts since the last tournament.
“We've worked a lot on doubles and being more aggressive at the net, and I definitely feel like our net players are now moving a little bit better than what we were,” said associate head coach Chris Williams. “I'm excited to see what doubles is going to look like going into this weekend.”
