AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State track and field team travels to Tempe, Ariz. Friday, for the 34th annual Sun Angel Classic.
The annual event welcomes some of the top high school, collegiate and post-collegiate competitors in the nation to Arizona State in the largest event the Sun Devils host.
Both the Iowa State women's and men's teams will be in action in the hammer throw and 5,000-meter runs taking place on Friday before an all-day affair on Saturday.
Saturday's events will be split into an open and a premier section with the open section getting under way with field events at 10:00 a.m. PT and running events at 2:00 p.m. PT.
The premier section, featuring the top collegiate and post-collegiate athletes in the meet, will kick off at 1:00 p.m. PT with the men's premier discus throw.
Results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of the meet.
