Wrestling Takes Home Award At NWCA Convention

FORT LAUDERDALE , Fla. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), in coordination with Elite Level Sport Marketing (ELSM), named Iowa State the winner of the Masterful Mission Best of Brand Award at its annual convention Saturday.

The Masterful Mission award recognizes the program that best branded itself during the 2012-2013 season via social network sites. The selection committee looks for programs with well-rounded values that embrace their mission statements.

Head coach Kevin Jackson, assistant coach Travis Paulson and assistant coach Troy Nickerson were present at the convention to accept the award on behalf of the team.

This season, Cyclone wrestling developed an “ALL IN” mantra across its social media platforms to help fans buy in to what the program is all about. The motto for the program's social media campaign was simple: connect YOUR fans with YOUR team.
