AMES, Iowa – It was a total team effort with every member of the Iowa State women's basketball team scoring as the Cyclones defeated William Penn 99-53 in its exhibition opener.
How it Happened:
Everyone was involved for the Cyclones early in the contest, as all 13 Cyclones scored en route to a 42-19 halftime lead. Nicole “Kidd” Blaskowsky and Seanna Johnson led the way with eight first half points, with Johnson leading the way on the glass with five rebounds.
Iowa State also dominated the boards in the contest, notching 58 rebounds. Freshman Bryanna Fernstrom led Iowa State with eight rebounds.
Four Cyclones scored in double figures, as Brynn Williamson (17), Jadda Buckley (13), Blaskowsky (11) and Emily Durr (11) each eclipsed the 10-point mark.

Game Ball Goes To...
Brynn Williamson. The senior kicked things into high gear despite limited minutes in the second half with 13 points to add to her four in the first half. Williamson netted three 3-pointers, going 3-of-5 from deep. The Kansas City, Missouri, native went 5-of-8 on the night to lead Iowa State.
