AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State wrestling team (8-4 overall, 1-2 Big 12) travels to Columbus, Ohio to the campus of Ohio State University this weekend for the 2014 NWCA National Duals, set to take place at St. John Arena on Feb. 15-16.
The annual tournament features 14 of the nation's top wrestling programs and dual teams. This year's field includes Bloomsburg, Central Michigan, Chattanooga, Cornell, Hofstra, Illinois, Iowa State, Kent State, Minnesota, North Dakota State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon State and Virginia Tech.
Draws were announced earlier today and the Cyclones will face Kent State (10-9 overall, 4-3 MAC) at 12 p.m. CT Sunday in the opening round of the dual tournament. The winner of ISU's opening match takes on the winner of No. 13 Ohio State (9-4 overall, 4-4 Big Ten) and Hofstra (6-7 overall, 4-2 EIWA) Sunday night at 6 p.m. CT.
