WACO, Texas-The Iowa State soccer team (6-6, 0-2) fell 2-0 to the Baylor Bears (7-4-1, 1-1) Sunday afternoon in Waco, Texas. The Cyclones return to Ames for a trio of home games starting Friday at 7 p.m. against Texas.
Turning Point of the Game
In the 10th minute, Baylor's Alexa Wilde found Justine Hovden for the Baylor goal. Hovden put the ball in the back of the net giving the Bears early momentum. In the 68th minute, Baylor's Sarah Moghadas scored another goal for the Bears putting the game out of reach for the Cyclones.
Cyclone Game Ball Goes To…
Koree Willer. In a game where the Cyclones couldn't get much going offensively, the Big 12 's leading scorer led the team with three shots and one shot on goal.
Coach Said It
"Baylor is a tough place to play, they work hard at every position and really push hard," head coach Tony Minatta said. "I give them credit for taking us out of our game. With the injuries, I really felt that some of our players stepped up and answered the call. But at the end of the day, we as a staff need to do a better job of preparing the team to play in that type of environment."

*Iowa State senior goalkeeper recorded four saves. She now has 203 career saves.
*Iowa State is now 6-12-2 all-time against Baylor.
