Ed Kemboi Named to Bowerman Trophy Watch List

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Senior middle distance runner Ed Kemboi was named to the Post-NCAA Indoor Bowerman Trophy Watch List, the USTFCCCA announced Wednesday. The Bowerman is awarded annually to the top male and female collegiate athlete in NCAA track and field.
Kemboi is coming off one of the most impressive performances in school history after winning the 800-meter run in 1:46.05 at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships. The Eldoret, Kenya native also rewrote conference history earlier in the season becoming the first athlete ever to be crowned 800-meter and 1,000-meter champion at the Big 12 Championships.
