Three Cyclones Pegged Academic All-Big 12

AMES, Iowa – The Big 12 Conference office announced today its Academic All-Big 12 teams. Three Cyclone grapplers earned a spot on the first team in seniors Kyven Gadson and Michael Moreno, and sophomore Gabe Moreno.
Gadson, a graduate student in Higher Education, is making his second appearance on the list after earning honors a season ago. Gabe Moreno, a Psychology major, is also a returning member of the first team after earning a spot last season. Michael Moreno is a first-time award winner. He is also a graduate student studying Higher Education.
To qualify as a first team member, student athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or better, while wrestling in 60 percent of Iowa State's scheduled events.
The Cyclones will take to the mat in the Big 12 Championships this Saturday at Hilton Coliseum. Wrestling will begin at 11 a.m.
