Koree Willer. The junior forward found the back of the net for her first of the season on a fantastic shot at the top left corner. Willer played strong the whole game and had multiple chances to score again. Willer tied for the team lead with two shot attempts.
Coach Said It
"I'm proud of the effort out there,” head coach Tony Minatta said. “We came out strong and got that early goal, but sometimes that can be a detriment because we have to hold onto that lead for 87 minutes. I thought we fought hard and toward the end of the second half you could definitely see the fatigue factor, it's our sixth game on the road. No excuses. Hats off to CU. They were relentless in their attack and they kept coming at us and they got us to breakdown and got the equalizer. In overtime, it was tough. I didn't see the call and it's a tough way to go out on that. We can hold our heads high. We went 1-1 on a tough road trip against Colorado College and Colorado and we are looking forward to our next game.”
Game Notes
* Junior Koree Willer scored her first goal of the season.
* Senior Haley Albert got her second assist of the season. Albert has now scored or assisted on five of Iowa State's 10 goals.
