Cyclones Sign Russian Prep Repina

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head coach Armando Espinosa has announced the signing of Russian prep Ekaterina Repina. Repina, a Voronezh, Russia native, attends Ruber Boskovic Gimnaziia.
Repina, one of the top players in her age group in Russia, has been playing and attending school in Serbia since she turned 10 years old. The 15-year old has had success in every age group and currently ranks No. 591 in the world. Last summer, Repina participated in her first Futures 10k Tournament and won three matches.
"Ekaterina is a determined and mature young lady," Espinosa said. "She is committed to the process. I believe she is a great fit for our program and has a bright future at Iowa State."
Repina has played in the finals of Tennis Europe, winning a tournament and reaching the finals multiple times.
