Iowa State Lands 10 On NFCA Scholar-Athlete List

AMES, Iowa — Ten members of the Iowa State softball team have earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar Athlete honors for the 2016-17 academic year.
To earn the honor, a student athlete must earn a 3.5 grade point average of higher.
Earning the honors from the 2017 Cyclone softball team were Nychole Antillon, Cathlin Bingham, Rachel Hartman, Kaila Konz, Logan Schaben, Hope Scheffert, Megan Schweitzer, Niki Turner, Brianna Weilbacher and Sami Williams.
A total of 1,825 softball players from Division I earned the honor, earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher.
