-Freshman Sami Williams has piled up a team-best .370 batting average in nine games of Big 12 play this season. The Laguna Niguel, Calif., native currently leads the conference in doubles this season with 14, and is just two away from tying the current single-season school record. Williams currently ranks among ISU's top-two in RBIs (1st - 23), doubles (1st - 14), home runs (T1st - 5), hits (2nd - 45) and runs scored (2nd - 22).
-Junior Kaila Konz had strong performances in Waco, Texas vs. No. 13 Baylor. Konz went 4-for-10 at the plate, with the first homer of her career on an inside-the-park score in game one of the series. Konz also stole a base and scored three of Iowa State's seven runs on the weekend.
