AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team will continue its fall season this weekend at ITA Regionals in Iowa City, Iowa. The tournament is scheduled to run Friday through Tuesday at the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Center.

Iowa State will be competing in singles and doubles action against opponents from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Bradley, Creighton, Drake, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, UMKC, Missouri State, Nebraska, North Dakota, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, St. Louis, Southeast Missouri State, Southern Illinois, South Dakota, Tulsa, Western Illinois and Wichita State.Â
Play will begin Friday at 9 a.m. with singles qualifying play.
LAST TIME ON THE COURT
The Cyclones crowned one champion at the Hokie Fall Invite. Annabella Bonadonna claimed her bracket title and an impressive 4-0 record in singles action, not losing a single set all weekend.
Bonadonna continued her hot streak at the tournament with her doubles partner Maty Cancini. The duo went 3-1 at the Hokie Fall Invite and is now 6-2 playing together this fall.
CYCLONE TENNIS QUICK HITS
· All eight players that have competed for Iowa State this fall have overall records above .500. Margarita Timakova and Bonadonna lead the way with 14-5 and 13-5 overall records, respectively.Â
· This fall, Iowa State tennis has an overall record of 89-55.
· Iowa State doubles pairs are 58-30 through the first two tournaments of the year.
· Bonadonna is tied with Meghan Cassens for fourth-place on the overall wins list and is five wins out of third-place. She is seven wins shy of the school record for career doubles wins, entering the weekend with 73 victories.
· Regina Espindola is tied with Maria Fernanda Macedo for 10th on the overall wins list. Espindola has amassed 109 overall career wins.
