AMES, Iowa – Dave Martin was a two-time national finalist (1969-70) and NCAA champion (1970) wrestler for Iowa State from 1968-70.
Martin was a key player in one of the most prosperous periods in Iowa State wrestling history, helping the Cyclones win a pair of NCAA titles in 1969 and 1970.
Martin has gone onto a distinguished career in athletics administration, serving in the Oklahoma State athletics department as an assistant AD for 35 years.
Martin was also the interim commissioner of the Big 12 Conference in 1998.
