Iowa State Ties For Third At Badger Invite

MADISON, Wis. – Iowa State tied for third at the Badger Invitational after firing a 286 this afternoon in the final round. After a first-round 301, the Cyclones battled back with rounds of 276 and 286 to finish eight strokes behind first-place Illinois State at 863.

Iowa State received an outstanding performance from sophomore Lachlan Barker, who was the runner-up medalist with a career-low 206. Barker fired rounds of 71-66-69 en route to the best finish of his career. It was his sixth career top-10 performance.

Sophomore Frank Lindwall tied for 16th at 218. After a first-round 78, Lindwall rallied with rounds of 69 and 71 to close the event.

Ricky Costello tied for 20th at 219 and Tripp Kinney tied for 23rd at 220. Kinney was 4-under in his last 36 holes.

Iowa State is back in action Sept. 23-24 at the Windon Memorial in Lake Forest, Ill.
