Cyclones Tied for Seventh in the Middle of the Second Round at the N.I.T.

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Cyclones are tied for seventh (-8) at the end of the first day of the N.I.T., where the second round was suspended due to darkness. Most teams have five to seven holes left in the second round.

Owen Sawyer tied the fifth-lowest round of his career in the first round (68) en route to tie for 14th place today. Sawyer picked up an eagle on his last hole of the first round, his first of the season and ninth on his career, to go along with five birdies on the day. Jackson McCommon also tied for 14th (-4), where he is currently four-under par in the second round and tallied a team-high eight birdies on the day.

Zach May is tied for 31st, where he carded four birdies in the first round to finish one-under par. Paul Beauvy is tied for 41st (+1) and tallied two birdies in the first round. Dianchao Wu finished the first day tied for 62nd, tallying five birdies and sitting at four-over par.

Host #30 Arizona leads the pack at the end of the first day, sitting at -28. Arizona's #42 Filip Jakubcik leads the individual race at -11 with six holes to go in the second round.

The conclusion of the second round along with the start of the third and final round of the N.I.T. will start at 9:30 CT tomorrow morning.
