Set One: Iowa State 25 TCU 14
Both sides struggled to get traction early, with both sides committing errors to give free points to the opposition. Cyclone setter Piper Mauck did well to balance out the ISU attack, with the first eight kills going to five different Cyclones. ISU's other setter, Jenna Brandt, came off the bench to serve up a 6-0 run that gave the visitors breathing room at 16-11. Annie Hatch went behind the line to serve up a 7-0 run of her own that buried the Frogs, 23-12. Iowa State's block notched 5.0 total blocks in the set, holding the home team to -.097 hitting on the set. ISU made it 1-0 when Brooke Andersen ended a long rally with a kill at 25-14.
Set Two: TCU 25 Iowa State 22
The TCU offense was able to gain some traction early, helping them build up a three-point advantage at 9-6. The Cyclones struggled on passing and defense, allowing the Frogs to pull ahead by six at 14-8 when Andersen fired long. Down 17-11, the Cyclone fightback finally got rolling, as Iowa State ran off four-straight out of a timeout to get the home lead down to two at 17-15. The hitting of Hatch proved particularly challenging for TCU to handle, as the sophomore notched five second-set kills. It was not enough, as the Frogs were able to even the match when Katie Clark killed to make it 25-22 TCU.
Set Three: Iowa State 25 TCU 15
Brandt came behind the service line and fired an ace to help give TCU the first three of the frame. Iowa State put the Frogs away very early, claiming six of the first seven in the set. Andersen fired a pair of aces as part of a 4-0 run that made it 13-5 as the Cyclones continued to run. While the Iowa State offense continued to click (hitting .371 for the set), it was the defense that found its traction again, holding the Frogs to .105 hitting on the set. Iowa State moved back ahead when Eleanor Holthaus killed at 25-15.
Set Four: Iowa State 25 TCU 17
Both teams offense got off to a slow start in the frame, not allowing either side to get ahead by much. Iowa State grinded ahead by three at 13-10 and it was Jenna Brandt heading behind the service line which helped break things open again. She fired a tough serve which led to a Mauck dump kill to make it 15-10, and ISU never looked back. Both sides of the ball showed well again, hitting .342 as a team while holding the Frogs to .049 hitting in the set. Iowa State wrapped up the match when Hatch got her 11th kill of the evening at 25-17.

In attack, she was in double figures for the sixth time this season with 12 at a season-best .409 hitting percentage. On defense, she led an ISU block that notched 12.0 total blocks with eight block assists while also posting five digs.
