Completed Event: Track and Field at 44 Farms Team Invite on April 11, 2025 ,

02.07.2020 | Track and Field
LINCOLN, Nebraska – Iowa State hurdler Katarina Vlahovic continued her outstanding season, as she led ISU on day one of the Husker Invitational at the Devaney Center.
On a light evening for the Cyclone contingent, Vlahovic was able to put up another fast time in her specialty event. In the 60-meter hurdles prelims, the Canadian took care of business by winning heat four and earning her automatic qualifying slot into tomorrow's final at 2:10 p.m. Her time of 8.42 was the second-fastest in the competition on Friday night.
One of the features of the indoor season for the No. 10 Cyclone men is the trio of seniors who are sitting out, having exhausted their indoor eligibility but having a year to go outdoors. One of those men, two-time All-American Vlad Pavlenko, showed that he continues to improve. In the men's weight throw, the unattached Pavlenko picked up the win with a personal best 72-4 1/4 (22.05m).
