Set One: Kansas State 25 Iowa State 16
K-State racked up an early 5-0 run to move ahead, but ISU quickly fought to level things at 6-6 on a Brooke Andersen ace. The Wildcats' attack was very strong to begin the match, hitting .419 en route to multiple four-point leads in the first set. Set Two: Kansas State 25 Iowa State 23
After hitting just .175 in the first set, Iowa State wrestled away the momentum to get ahead. Annie Hatch made a pair of big plays, coming up with a solo stuff of Holly Bonde and following with an ace to push ISU ahead 8-5. Hatch's effort led a 6-0 ISU run to get ahead 10-5, but the momentum shifted again with K-State tying it at 15-15. However, the Cyclones found their way back ahead via Herrera getting a kill and a block. The 'Cats got back ahead at 20-19 when Avery Rhodes hit one into the net, and got to set point first at 24-23. K-State converted on first asking, when Herrera's tip shot was denied by Aliyah Carter and Kayde Fernholz.
Set Three: Iowa State 25 Kansas State 14
Iowa State got off to a great start in the third, converting its first four shots for kills to move ahead 7-3. Kansas State's block started to get involved, reeling ISU back to within a point at 11-10, but the Cyclones fought back to restore edge at 14-10 when Herrera and Holthaus combined to stuff Carter. The home team got within one at 14-13, but some sloppy Wildcat passing allowed ISU some easy kills and the Cyclones closed the set on an 11-1 run, including the last nine points. Archibong hit one into the net to give ISU the third 25-14.
Set Four: Kansas State 25 Iowa State 23
Kansas State put Iowa State in a hole early, with the Cyclones hitting -.091 as the 'Cats rolled ahead 7-2. Iowa State fought back with Andersen killing to get back within one at 8-7, but it took a long time for ISU to take that next step. It finally came in the very late stages, with Holthaus stuffing Carter's tip attempt to tie it at 22-22, followed by Carter firing wide to give ISU a 23-22 lead. However, K-State got to match point at 24-23 and converted on first asking when Fernholz stuffed Hatch at 25-23.
