AMES, Iowa – No. 25 Iowa State (16-7, 8-2 Big 12) hosts Chicago State (6-13) for a non-conference matchup Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. The match marks the fifth meeting between the teams in the all-time series.
Iowa State entered the AVCA Coaches Poll at No. 25 this week. ISU last ranked at No. 13 in 2020 when the poll was reduced to the Top-15 teams due to the limited number of teams competing. The most recent times Iowa State ranked in the Top 25 was in the 2018 preseason poll at No. 21 and in the final 2017 poll at No. 25.
Tomorrow is the Faculty and Staff Appreciation match. Fan banners will be given to faculty and staff members in attendance.

LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State grabbed its seventh-straight conference victory, a first since 2012. With the win, the Cyclones closed out October with a 7-1 record, the best October mark since 2009 where ISU finished 8-0 in the month. The Cyclones' current 8-2 start to conference play is the best since the 2013 Cyclones posted a 10-2 start.
Morgan Brandt (3), Maya Duckworth (3), Brooke Stonestreet (2) and Eleanor Holthaus nearly recorded the third 10-ace match of the season as they collectively totaled nine against TCU.
Stonestreet brought in her eighth 20-plus dig performance of the season with 24 vs. TCU. The sophomore averaged 6.00 digs per set last week against West Virginia and TCU. Iowa State leads conference matchups with 15.49 digs per set, while Stonestreet leads individuals with 5.23 digs per set.
CHICAGO STATE
Chicago State met Big 12-opponent West Virginia on Oct. 15 where they were swept by the Mountaineers. The Cougars most recently picked up the win over Hofstra, ending their 12-match win streak. Chicago State's Yanlis Feliz earned AVCA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2021.
Iowa State and Chicago State last met in 2006 where the Cyclones swept the Cougars. ISU leads the all-time series 4-0.
