AMES, Iowa - No. 20 Iowa State opens Big 12 Conference action this weekend at home when it hosts No. 26 Baylor and No. 6 Texas.

*Friday AM Update: Today's match will be played at Ames Racquet and Fitness Club (3600 University Blvd, Ames, IA).

No. 6 Texas (11-3, 2-0) at No. 20 Iowa State (11-0, 0-0)
Both matches are currently scheduled to be played at Ames High School (2005 24th St., Ames, IA), but could moved inside to Ames Racquet and Fitness Club (3600 University Blvd, Ames, IA) if weather dictates the move.Â
THE SERIES
Iowa State has defeated Baylor just once in 2019, which was the last time the Cyclones hosted the Bears.
ISU is looking to defeat Texas for the first time in school history (0-24). The last time the Cyclones hosted Texas, the Longhorns won 4-3 in a match played at Life Time Fitness in Urbandale.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State picked up a pair of ranked wins last weekend, downing No. 42 Wisconsin (4-3) and No. 47 Memphis (4-2).
Against Wisconsin, ISU got wins from Miska Kadleckova and the clincher from Chie Kezuka to rally from a 3-2 deficit and secure the victory.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Kadleckova hasn't suffered a singles loss in more than a month, winning eight-straight matches. Her last three decisions were three-set wins as she improved to 13-4 this season and 29-7 in her career.
CYCLONE TENNIS QUICK HIT
Iowa State has been riding a program-record 23-match home winning streak since the end of the 2018-19 season. The streak includes five wins over ranked opponents.
