Durisic Wins 54th Malaysian Amateur Closed

PERAK, Malaysia - Iowa State sophomore women's golfer Liyana Durisic recently won the 54th Malaysian Amateur Closed. Durisic picked up the victory at the Royal Perak Golf Club, as the event was held June 28-30.
Durisic won the event by four strokes, as she was the only golfer under par. Durisic shot a 70 in the opening round, while shooting a 71 in each of the final two rounds.Â
After three years with the Cyclones, Durisic is Iowa State's career leader in stroke average at 73.04. This past season, she turned in three top-10 finishes, including tying for first at the season-opening Wolverine Invite with a 210 over three rounds.Â
