Cyclones In First After Two Rounds At The Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

MARICOPA, ARIZ.- The Cyclones headed back to Arizona for the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. Leading the tournament after two rounds, the Cyclonitas started off hot, shooting -11 in their first round, following it up with two under in the second round. With a 13-stroke lead over BYU, the Cyclones will look to keep their foot on the gas with one round to play.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon took control early and never let off the gas, leading the tournament by a stroke. Pinprayoon shot her career best through 36 holes, shooting a seven-under round one and sitting at -10 for the tournament. Pinprayoon also grabbed 11 birdies in her two rounds. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn grabbed the second spot for the Cyclones and is sitting in a tie for eighth. Chul-Ak-Sorn shot a one-under round and a two-under round two with 11 birdies to show for it.Â
Pammy Chookaew did her thing, shooting one over after two rounds, putting her in a tie for 16th. Chookaew shot one under in her first round and followed it up with a two over second round. Chooakew snagged 6 birdies in her two rounds. Alexandra Vidal also sits in a tie for 16th, shooting one-over with Chookaew, with her round splits being two-under and three-over. Vidal also grabbed six birdies while snagging the only eagle for the Cyclones today.Â
Rounding out the Cyclones was Isabella Yan. Yan was consistent, shooting two over in her first round and one over in her second round. Yan sits in a 29th with a few birdies to show.
