Iowa State Opens Exhibition Action with 0-0 Tie with UNI

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie at Cyclone Soccer Complex on Saturday.Â
Iowa State opened the exhibition with three newcomers in a mixed starting lineup in Maddie Brant, Sophia Thomas and Jasmine Colbert. 19 Cyclones saw action during the 90 minute contest. Neither the Cyclones nor the Panthers were able to score in the match, as Iowa State held a seven-to-five shot advantage.Â
Goalkeepers Jordan Silkowitz, Avery Gillahan and Georgia Wimmer combined for the shutout.Â
UP NEXT
The Cyclones will travel to Minneapolis next week for their second and final exhibition match before the 2022 season-opener against Arizona in Tucson.
