AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State (2-3-2) women's soccer played to a draw with the South Dakota Coyotes (1-5-3) on Sunday afternoon 0-0. The Cyclones held the advantage in every statistical category but couldn't find the back of the net to secure the victory.
Prior to the match, eight seniors were recognized for their accomplishments in front of the Cyclone Soccer Complex crowd.
How It HappenedÂ
In the first twenty minutes of action, the Cyclones out-shot the Yotes 7-0.
Two shots were saved and the rest were off target.
South Dakota didn't record their first shot on goal until the 22nd minute.
The shot was saved by Jordan Silkowitz.
Iowa State would out-shoot the Yotes 4-1 the rest of the half.
At halftime, ISU held a 12-2 shot advantage.
South Dakota only recorded one shot on goal in the first half.
The Cyclones would once again put the pressure on the Yotes in the second half.
Iowa State out-shot the Yotes 4-0 during the first 22 minutes of the second half.
South Dakota recorded their first shot of the second half in the 67th minute.
For the final 23 minutes of the match, the Cyclones recorded six shots and only gave up one shot to the Coyotes.
Senior goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz recorded three saves on the day.

"Today, we showed things that we haven't before. Today, we played better than we have been, but the problem is the score. The score is the tough thing about today. We had the opportunity to win by multiple goals but couldn't quite connect on the opportunities we were given."
