Buss Earns Zone Cut at UGA Invite

ATHENS, Georgia – The Iowa State diving team kicked off the UGA Bulldog Diving Invitational with the 3-meter prelims on Tuesday. Junior Joscelyn Buss led the team with a 280.40 score in 16th place, notching an NCAA Championship Zone cut. Jayna Misra secured the second top Cyclone placement at 27th with a score of 249.60. Freshman Ally Blumenfeld scored 246.40, solidifying 30th place. Rounding out in 38th place in the prelims was Kate Mitchell with 225.75.
The Cyclones will look for a top-12 spot to advance into the finals for the platforms and 1-meter boards on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Prelims on the platform begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
