AUSTIN, Texas – Cailie Logue and Emily March earned All-America honors to close out 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Logue highlighted the day earning First Team honors in the 5,000-meter run.
Logue brought in her first career All-America honor in the outdoor 5K to bring her career total to six throughout cross country and track and field. Logue crossed the finish line sixth as she built her way up the pack putting up a time of 15:49.85. The senior is the sixth woman in program history to notch All-America status in the outdoor 5K.
Logue earned her second First Team All-America honor of the weekend as Logue also finished sixth in the 10K Thursday to end her historic Cyclone career. Logue is the third woman in ISU history to notch First Team accolades in both the outdoor 5K and 10K in the same Championships, and the first since Betsy Saina in 2013.
In the discus, March threw 161-11 (49.36m) to place 24th and earn Honorable Mention All-America honors.
March earns her second All-America honor of her career with the finish. In 2022, the senior became the first woman All-American in ISU history in the discus as she picked up First Team honors.
