In the 2023 indoor season, both men and women earned fifth place while Cam Jones was crowned as champion of the weight throw and Sydney Willits in the long jump.
The men re-entered the USTFCCCA National Ranking at No. 24 after falling just out at No. 26 last week after previously being ranked in every poll this season. Iowa State men and women currently hold 11 top 20 NCAA marks, including four in the top 10.
Cyclones have broken five school records this indoor season; the women's 400m (Rachel Joseph), men's 1,000m (Darius Kipyego), women's 1,000m (Makayla Clark), men's mile (Said Mechaal) and women's weight throw (Kaitlyn Burson). In addition, 20 top 10 program performances in 11 events have been added to the record books by the men and 16 in 13 events have been cemented by the women.
Following Big 12 Championships, NCAA Indoor Championships are next up on March 8-9.
