Cyclonitas in Fifth After Day One of Chevron Collegiate

HUMBLE, Tex. - After rounds one and two, the Cyclonitas ended day one tied for fifth with a score of 12-under-par at the Chevron Collegiate.
No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 34 SMU are tied for first after the first two rounds. Individually, there is a three way tie for first place between Nicha Kanpai and Patricie Mackova from No. 44 Maryland and Adela Cernousek from No. 14 Texas A&M.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn is leading the Cyclonitas in a tie for eight with a score of seven-under-par. Chul-Ak-Sorn had a first round score of 67, two strokes higher than her season low. Chul-Ak-Sorn had thirteen birdies on the day. Pammy Chookaew came in second for the Cyclonitas at five-under-par with a second round score of 66, only two strokes higher than her career low.Â
Senior Tess Blair is tied for 34 with eight birdies in the first two rounds. Blair improved her score by four strokes in round two. Liyana Durisic had three birdies in each round for a two-round score of 146. Keeley Marx is tied for 69 with a score of 150 with six birdies in the first two rounds.Â
The Cyclonitas will play the third and final round of the Chevron Collegiate to end their February tournaments. The third round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CST.Â
