AMES, Iowa – This weekend's Iowa State softball series, scheduled to be played against Texas Tech, has been officially canceled due to inclement weather in Ames.
The game was altered twice prior to cancelation, as Sunday's game was moved to Friday for a doubleheader. Thursday night snow forced the Friday doubleheader to move to Saturday before the weekend contests were ultimately called off on Friday night.
Both teams will work with the Big 12 Conference to see if there can be a mutually agreeable makeup date down the road.
Iowa State's next game will now be this Thursday, March 28, against Baylor in Waco, Texas. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
