AMES, Iowa – Iowa State is set for the Big 12 Championships, hosted by Baylor at Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium May 9-11. Baylor plays host to the outdoor conference meet for the first time since 2018.

At Big 12 Indoor Championships, Cam Jones was crowned the shot put champ while Jason Gómez took the title in the 800-meter.
Last week at the ISU Alumni Invite, Zach Verzani hit a hammer PR to jump up from No. 5 to No. 2 in school history while Garret Wagner also put up a personal best to record to No. 10 ISU performance. Heading into postseason, the Cyclones total 37 performances in NCAA West Prelims qualifying position.
The Iowa State men remain at No. 18 this week, the highest USTFCCCA ranking this late into the season since 2021.
Following conference, NCAA West Prelims are next for the Cyclones May 22-25.
