AMES, Iowa – The Cyclones (3-4, 0-1 Big 12) travel south to Lawrence, Kansas, to face the Jayhawks (2-4, 0-1 Big 12) in their final dual meet on February 7th before the Big 12 Championships.
The Opponent - Kansas
The Jayhawks hold a 2-4 record this season, with a shared victory over South Dakota and a defeat against Nebraska.
ISU and Kansas previously competed in late November, during the Hawkeye Invitational. Kansas secured sixth place, finishing two spots ahead of the Cyclones, who ended in eighth.
Last Time Out - North Texas
The Cyclones narrowly lost to the Mean Green, with a score of 165-135.
Corinne Guist ended in first place in the 1000 freestyle for the fourth time this season with a time of 10:32.68.
Freshman Grace Swoboda claimed first place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.83, just ahead of Abbi Crum, who finished second in 2:22.87.
Mallory Miller took gold in the 400 IM, claiming her third title this season with a time of 4:31.93.
The Cyclones secured multiple second-place finishes throughout the meet, including Winter Craig in the 200 fly, Madi Dohrn in the 200 back, and Abby Tollefson in the 1-meter, among others.
Tollefson, Kate Mitchell, Maggie Bendell, and Ally Blumenfeld all earned qualifying NCAA Zone Cut scores in 1-meter.
What to Watch For - 3-Meter Diving
Each Cyclone on the diving team, except for Mitchell who secured zone cuts at the Hawkeye Invite, has posted scores close to NCAA Zone Cut qualification, demonstrating consistent progress at each meet. This squad is eager to earn a qualifying score.

Iowa State will travel west to Federal Way, Washington, for the Big 12 Championships, with the first day of competition starting on February 25th.
