Leading Off: The Cyclones are back on the road again this week as they head to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Ameritas Master Classic. They will face Nebraska, Temple and Texas Woman's in a quad meet.
Iowa State had some great showings last weekend against Iowa. Aubree Guinee competed for the first time since Utah and earned at 9.800. Josie Bergstrom-Te Slaa scored a 9.85 on vault and a 9.825 on beam. Haylee Hardin, Rachel Wilke, Noelle Adams and Frederique Sgarbossa all earned scores of 9.875s. The Cyclones look to continue building on floor and vault for this week's quad meet. Â
The Ameritas Master Classic will be the last meet of the season for Iowa State before the Big 12 Championship in Utah next week. Nebraska is currently ranked 20th, Temple is ranked 51st and Texas Woman's is currently ranked 50th . Â
Storylines:Â
Freshman Haylee Hardin has won Big 12 Newcomer of the Week three times in a row this season. She owns four 9.9-plus scores this season and has six event titles. Â
The Cyclones are ranked 31st on vault and 36th on floor.Â
Josie Bergstrom-Te Slaa continues to be a leader for the Cyclones. She earned a 9.9 on beam and 9.8 on vault at the Arizona meet. Â
Bergstrom-Te Slaa also competes All-Around for Iowa State which is a testament to her hard work. Â

Iowa State returned 10 gymnasts from last year's squad that made the largest improvement in the country.Â
ISU has added four freshmen and one transfer for a team of 15.Â
Noelle Adams and Josie Bergstrom-Te Slaa were both named to the Big 12 Preseason Gymnastics team. Â
Iowa State's 10 victories last season were tied for the most since it won 20 in 2018.Â
Sophomore Noelle Adams claimed 14 event titles last year in her freshman campaign. Those 14 titles were the third-most in program history by a first-year gymnast.Â
As a team, ISU claimed 17 event titles last season.Â
2025 will mark the first year that Iowa State competes in a conference schedule, as the additions of Arizona, Arizona State and Utah put the conference at seven teams.Â

Nebraska head coach Heather Brink is in her 6th year at Nebraska as head coach, but 14th overall. Â
She was named the 5th head coach in program history in 2019. Â
In pre-season polls the Huskers were picked 23rd in the preseason polls. Â
Nebraska is currently ranked 20th on Road to Nationals. Their highest event ranking is bars, where they sit at No. 17. Â

Iowa head coach Hilary Steele is in her 2nd year at Temple. Â
Temple is currently ranked 51st and their highest event ranking is beam, where they sit at No. 48. Â
Switching Sides to Texas Woman's:Â Â
Texas Woman's head coach Lisa Bowerman is in her 13th year at TWU. Â
She has been a part of the TWU coaching staff for 15 years.  Â
Texas Woman's highest event ranking is vault, where they sit at No. 38.Â
