LUBBOCK, Texas – The indoor postseason is here, with the Iowa State men and No. 20 ISU women taking on Big 12 Indoor Championships hosted by Texas Tech this Friday and Saturday.

Events begin Friday at 10 a.m. with the heptathlon and pentathlon. Friday scoring finals include the pentathlon, field events, 5,000m and distance medley relay. The championship continues through Saturday with the final event being the 4x400m relays beginning at 5:40 p.m.
The Iowa State women entered the national top 25 this week at No. 20. It is the highest indoor ranking for the women since the final set of rankings in 2024.
Last week, the women's distance medley squad of Makayla Clark, Rachel Joseph, Emma Vorpagel and Betty Kipkore set the sixth-fastest performance in collegiate history with a time of 10:44.11. The time ranks fourth nationally, in position to qualify for NCAA Championships.
Eight school records have come down this season: women's 200m, women's 600y, women's 800m, women's 1,000m, women's 3,000m, women's 5,000m, men's 60m hurdles and women's distance medley.
Iowa State currently has eight performances in an NCAA Championships qualifying spot as the top 16 individuals and top 12 relay teams advance following conference competition. Qualifiers will be announced by the NCAA next week.
NCAA Championships follow Big 12 Championships March 13-14.
