2014-15
Outdoor: Advanced to the second round of the 800-meter run at the NCAA West Preliminaries … earned the bronze medal and All-Big 12 honors with third place finish in the 800 at the Big 12 Championships … finished second in his section of the 800-meter run at the Payton Jordan Invitational … was member of Iowa State’s distance medley relay and 4x800-meter relay teams at the Drake Relays … also competed in the mile at the Sun Angel Track Classic.
Indoor: Earned First-Team All-America honors as part of Iowa State’s third-place distance medley relay team at the NCAA Championships … ran third-leg of DMR the entire season for Cyclones, joining Edward Kemboi as a member of each of Iowa State’s three-fastest DMR teams in program history … scored points for Iowa State by finishing fifth in the 800-meter run and fifth as part of the DMR at the Big 12 Championships … ran third leg of school record distance medley relay at Alex Wilson Invitational … set a personal record in the mile at the Iowa State Classic, clocking in at 4:02.17 … competed in the 800-meter run and the distance medley relay at the Razorback Invitational … finished second behind Kemboi in the 800 at the Big 4 Duals.
XC: Made his Cyclone debut at the Big 12 Championship, posting an 8K time of 25:59.
2013-14
Outdoor: Redshirted the outdoor season, competing unattached at four meets … clocked a time of 1:48.88 at the Payton Jordan Invitational … captured event titles at the Wisconsin Open and Kansas Relays … also ran sub-1:50 at the Portland Track Festival, crossing the line in 1:49.19.
Indoor: Redshirted the indoor season.
Before Iowa State
Peterson transferred to Iowa State after competing at Sacred Heart for the majority of his collegiate career ... New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) champion in the 800m (1:48.10) and in the Mile (4:06.74) ... 2013 Northeast Conference 800-meter Indoor champion (1:51.89) ... placed fifth in the 1500m at the NEC Championships in 3:56.79 ... placed 18th overall at the 2012 NEC Cross Country Championships, running the 8-kilometer race in 26:09.98.
