Outdoor: Ran in four meets for Iowa State … finished 11th in the 1,500-meter run at the Big 12 Championships … picked up victory in 1,500-meter run at the Jim Duncan Invitational … also ran 1,500 at Musco Twilight … anchored Iowa State Distance Medley Relay team at Drake Relays.

Indoor: Did not compete.

XC: Was Iowa State's second finisher at the Hawkeye Earl Bird Invitational, placing 2nd overall in 10:15 to help the Cyclones win the meet title ... part of the Iowa State scoring effort at the Oz Memorial, finishing 15th in 22:56 as the Cyclones took second in the team race ... clocked a 23:02 at the Roy Griak to finish 69th as Iowa State's second runner ... finished 72nd in 17:55 at the Greater Louisville Classic ... was 145th (21:24) at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational ... finished 41st (22:12) at the 2015 Big 12 Championship ... was 41st across the line in 21:25 at the NCAA Midwest Regional ... was part of the Iowa State scoring effort at the 2015 NCAA Championships, finishing 186th in 21:28.

Outdoor: Competed in the prelims of the 1,500-meter run at the Big 12 Championships, but did not advance to the finals … led off for Iowa State’s distance medley relay team at the Drake Relays.

Indoor: Posted a personal record in the mile at 4:56.29 at the Iowa State Classic … finished sixth in the mile at the Big 4 Duals … took third in the 800-meter run at the Holiday Inn Invitational.

A four-sport athlete and four-year letter winner for the track & field team and swimming team at Canterbury High School … State Champion in the 1600m with a time of 4:54.32 and an Indiana All-Star team selection … team captain and received the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award … sectional and regional champion in cross country during her junior and senior years, placing 15th at State as a senior and 19th as a junior … ran to her first 1600m State Championship title with a time of 4:56.98 … named the News Sentinel Runner of the Year and received the Chris Brown Outstanding Female Distance Runner award … Placed eighth at states in the 800m during her sophomore year and placed sixth as a freshman … Was a two-time All-State selection and a four-time All-Area selection.

DeSimone is the daughter of Jim and Marta DeSimone of Fort Wayne, Indiana … She has one brother, Joseph … The Co-Valedictorian and a member of the Cum Laude Society at Canterbury High School … Was also the Headmaster’s Cup recipient and won Physics, Biology, Math, and Athletic Department Book Awards … Also enjoys playing piano and cello and cooking … She is concentrating in Biomedical Engineering ... graduate student in kinesiology.
