Sacramento, Calif - Five-time All American high jumper, Gina Rickert, placed 12th at the NCAA Championships to close out her collegiate career for the Cyclones.
The four-time Big 12 high jump champion leaped 5-8 3/4 during today's finals event. The competition was won by Whitney Evans of Washington State with a height of 6-1 1/4.
Rickert will continue her high jump career at the 2003 U.S. Nationals. The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native has also qualified for the 2004 Olympic Trials with her career-best jump of 6-3 1/4, which she jumped during the 2003 indoors season.
