AMES, Iowa - Former Iowa State hurdler Aurelia Trywianska captured the 2003 Polish national championship in the 100-meter hurdles with the clocking of 12.75 in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, on July 6. This marks the second consecutive championship for the Szczecin, Poland, native who competed as a Cyclone from 1999-2001. Trywianska was also a seven-time Polish junior hurdle champion.
ISU's Daniel Kaczmarczyk notched a second-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 25-8. The native of Rybnik, Poland, was a national junior champion in 2000. Kaczmarczyk, a two-time NCAA qualifier, will return to Ames in the fall to complete his final seasons of eligibility for Iowa State.
